Skimmia,glossy,large red berries going yellow&dying. Not loss of water.lovely for 10 +years.I cut away dead branches, new growth, then more yellow & dies again.Still have small bit of healthy growth yet.What will I do?

This is die-back disease, not uncommon in skimmias and usually they simply fail in the end. Probably you might as well remove it.
