What’s eating my Morning Glory

After numerous attempts to grow Morning Glory I’ve finally managed to get some growth – leaving it in a pot instead of the ground. However, something is attacking the leaves. I’ve spread salt around the base of the pot in case it’s slugs but I can’t actually see anything. No other plants seem to be affected.

This is probably snails … which can climb. It might just be one snail, hiding amid the foliage by day.
