I need some planting advice. I have a west facing border about 25ft long. Depth varies between 2ft and 5ft. There is a standard garden block wall behind, with wicker screens. I’m looking to plant a range of plants with different height/colour/texture. Where do I start?

It is a relatively small area. You need three or four small to medium shrubs, perhaps one climber and perennial flowers to fill out between. One of the shrubs should be an evergreen.
The actual kinds of each to use can vary according to your own preference and the site conditions, dry or moist soil, sunshine or shade. If you go to our Plant finder, you will be able to select according to these criteria.
