Are seed potatoes edible

tommy higgins asked 9 years ago

I bought too many seed potatoes in my local garden centre. I assumed they’d be OK to eat, but it was suggested by a friend that maybe they’d be sprayed/treated in some way.

Seed potatoes are not, to my knowledge, treated chemically.

In fact, eating potatoes can be treated with sprout suppressant if low-temperature storage is not used.
