Best type of conifer hedging

Peter Buckley asked 17 years ago

Hi Gerry, I’m looking for some advice on planting boundary hedging on a large site asap? I have had a few landscape gardeners recommend Beech hedging but the leaves die off in the winter. Can you recommend a fast growing conifer hedge that will provide ample screening, look well and will require as little maintenance as possible?

The landscape contractors know what they are talking about!

Beech holds its dead leaves until May.

There is no such conifer.
