Gerry, I have British Queens potatoes growing in a steel barrell, if I put fleece over the top will it protect them from blight attack

Potato blight is carried by fungal spores and these would be small enough to penetrate fleece or wash through, but it is unlikely that ‘British Queen’ potatoes will get blight in any case, as it is an early variety and is usually harvested before the main blight season.
