I have a buxus fence and one is deteriorating. one half of it yellowish/brownish and the other half is on its way to being the same. i dont want it to affect the rest of the hedge. what is it and what can i do to save it? anji

This could be box blight, which is becoming increasingly common and which is difficult to control. The better movement of air around the leaves helps. Funigicides are of little or no value. Prune out the worst affected parts.
There are also root diseases, especially affecting box plants growing in heavy soil, or a low-lying spot.
