Now drooping leaves “like a broken umbrella” . Only about 5 years old. What can I do to help it along ?

Cordyline have been knocked back by frost, but they often re-sprout further down the stem, even from below ground sometimes, and this can take a year or more. Nothing to do, do not cut away the top until you see where the new growth is.
