My beech tree, twenty five feet tall, planted here for six years, has developed yellow leaves and the leaf edges are brown and curling.

The tree may be suffering a root disease, or simply growing in very dry conditions, which beech does not like. Leave it be and see what happens … there is nothing to do in any case.
