Laurel hedge planted 11 months ago. Stem on 1 plant has snapped at base but not detached and plant is lying horizontal but is still healthy. Can this be repaired or replanted or will i have to dig up and replace?

It will not heal so you might as well cut away the borken part. But there appears to be a shoot atached to the part in the ground and this might recover and catch up after a time.
