Would planting trees help and which ones? Any help would be greatly appreciated. 1 Answers 0 Vote Up Vote Down Gerry Daly Staff answered 7 years ago Planting trees will not help but willow and alder will deal with wet ground better than grass and you will not have to mow it. Otherwise you need to put in land drains and you must have somewhere to drain away the water to, such as a ditch or drain.
