We planted some large (10ft) evergreens in April. My husband watered them regularly – maybe too regularly. They are orange now. Are they dead? Can we revive them?

Large evergreens must be transplanted from pots with all roots intact.
If this was the case, watering was inadequate. They need large amounts, 20 to 40 litres about once a week, until settled in, not small amounts every day.
If they are orange, they are more than likely gone past the point of recovery.
