Grass

Emma Carrigan asked 13 years ago

I have a decent sized back garden which is mainly grass, it is quiet uneven and there if it was taken up, I am sure we would find a lot of builders rubble underneath. As a result, the drainage is quiet bad in parts and the surface is quiet uneven. Just to add to the situation we have 2 dogs! Anyway! it has a lot of weeds and a good few bare and muddy patches due to th draginage problem. Is there a quick fix to improve the quality of grass until we have money to relay the lawn next summer? Would you be able to reccommend a good seed and feed that I could use if this would help. I tried doing this last year but did not make much difference.

Go to a coop farm supply shop and buy a bag of high-nitrogen farm grassland feed and apply 30 per square metre in March and again in May, using a small fertiliser distributor, and mow the lawn regularly every week or ten days.

It is amazing what feeding and mowing can do.
