Plums stones can be potted and left outside to get some winter cold or kept in a fridge in damp sand in a polythene bag, open enough to allow some air exchange, for a couple of months and then potted up.
While you may get some to sprout, the chances are not great of getting a tree of any quality, Usually on their own roots, they trees are very vigorous.
But it’s worth a try.
