1.How should I store and bring on Plum stones to maximise their chances of germination? 2.What would cause carrots to grow like a bunch of gnarled up tree roots?

Plum stones can sprout but resultant trees are of doubtful value adnn can take a few years to flower and fruit.
If you wnat to try, sow fresh
Carrots can get roots triwsted by being to closely sown or having too much manure or compost dug in the bed.
