how to prepare hanging baskets and types of summer plants for same

A hanging basket is just a suspended pot. Line the basket with moss and with polythene with some drainage holes to reuce moisture loss. Use some slow release fertiliser in the compost mixed half and half with good garden soil, if available. Keep watered well.

Trailing plants such as petunias, lobelia, glechoma. ivy, fuchsia, nasturtium and fuchsia look best.
