Received 3 hazelnuts to grow from Green Party. One of the hazelnuts is cracked and a shoot is growing. How to plant it in a pot (what soil, how deep)? Should I cracked the other 2 hazelnuts before planting them?

Plant each nut about 5cm deep in an individual pot filled with half soil and half compost. Place it out of direct sunshine and keep the compost just moist. These nuts are best sown fresh and do not need to be cracked.
