Find out is whether the seeds have been stratified, that is cold-treated, or not. If they have, they can be sown now in a seed-tray and covered with one centimetre of sand, with a sheet of glass on top, or polythene.

If they have not had cold treatment, mix them into some damp sand and place them in a polythene bag, neck folded over, in the fridge for two or three months before sowing. Or sow in autumn and let nature give them a winter chill.
