I am new in gardening and decided to plant Marigolds from seeds from shop. I know how it must look but what was grown from my planted seeds confused me a lot! I am not sure I am growing Marigolds. What do you think it could be?

This is not marigolds, it looks like sycamore… a self-sown seedling tree. Looks like the marigolds may not have come up.
Only pot marigold can be sown directly outdoors, French marigolds and African marigolds have to be started off in a greenhouse.
