Is lime good for lawns at start of year.Have 1 acre of lawn which looks weak and mossy in patches.What agricultural fertiliser will I use in spring to get it back to life.

Lime helps grass if the soil is very acidic, not otherwise.

Agricultural fertilizer is cheaper but don’t over do it because there will be a big surge of growth.

To give a first general boost use 18-6-12 and then only high nitrogen fertilizer such as CAN, no more than 15 to 20 g per square metre at a time.
