Straw coloured patches on new lawn since it started to rain a few days ago. I also found some larva like grubs, which appear in the late evening. What can I do to solve this problem?
This sounds like leatherjackets which can eat the roots of grass and cause patches but they turn into daddy-long-legs and fly away and the damage rectifies itself.
Birds such as crows often attack them.
