My asters are blooming at the moment, but the leaves have a white film of them. What is the problem?

It is early for asters but there are a few early kinds.
Some have a layer of white hair but it could be mildew too. It is probably not worth spraying for this and you might be better to select kinbds that stay mildew- free and discard teh ones the aare affected,
