My friend in the UK has problems with Lily beetles. She was asking if I knew how to get rid of them. All I know is that they are red and to pick them off. Can you give us any other advise?

No, that is good advice. Watch for the beetles and pick them off. If there are many, which is not usual, spray with derris or malathion. The beetle has been reported from Belfast some years ago, but there are no recent reports.
