Hi Gerry,could you pleases advise me on how and when is the best time to divide a long time established old paeonia.It may be 40 years old or so.Thanks.

Peonies do not like to be disturbed, but if this must be done, then do so in autumn or early spring in mild weather and make sure to dig in lots of organic material and have the soil open and aerated.Â
