Moved group 2 clematis end of summer last year. Should I prune to 18 inches this spring? One is already sprouting. Nellie Moser and Niobe.

Prune only to remove dead or broken stems and allow the plants to settle in their new location.
Group2 clematis, early summer flowering, flower next year on side-shoots of good stems made this year. Pruning is only necessary when the plants are well-established.Â
