I have a cordyline in garden with 3 others growing very tight together right in at the base,about 2-3 foot at the moment.i need to move them because they will force exsiting mature one to lean or fall.when and how can i move them.

These sound like side-shoots, not separate plants, although it is possibe that they have roots too.
Simplest thing is just ot prune these off and allow the main stem to remain.Â
