Moving Pittosporum tobira

Dorothy Jervis asked 15 years ago

Can you please tell me when is the best time to move a Pittosporum tobira, and if it will tolerate less than full sun and still flower? I grew two of these plants from cuttings brought from northern Majorca a few years ago and have them planted in the shrub border but I now need to move one to give more space for growth. Unfortunately the sunniest place is also the most exposed!!

First, I would wait to see if the pittosporum suvives the frost and you could try moving it in April if it does. It does not always move well as a big plant.
