Just wondering what is the name of the low red coloured shrub that is planted in a x shape in the formal Shrubs/Trees picture(hedges & shelter belt section). I had a Tom Thumb planted as a low hedge and it died in the hard frost Jan 2010. I am looking for a replacement low hedge for a formal surround patio that has the similar red ish colours.

That reddish hedge is Berberis thunbergii ‘Atropurpurea Nana’, a low-growing form.
