Please can you advise the name of a quick growing shelterbelt/ screening for a south coastal garden which is very windswept. I have tried escallonia but without success

Escallonia has been affected by a leaf spot disease.
If you are lookong for a shelter belt, use hazel with some holly and birch mixed in. These are fast-growing wind-resistant. Plant small and keep free of grass and weeds.
