non-flowering lonicera

10 years old. Name unknown. Bought in garden centre. Flowers appear but go brown and die without opening. South facing. Foliage perfect after flowers gone. ..Thanks for attention…no rush.

The possibilities include dry soil and early greenfly attack or both. These are common problems on honeysuckle on a warm wall. Mildew is another but you say the foliage recovers.

If the plant consistently fails in that spot, year after year, try moving it to a cooler place, or if it is now too big, remove it and plant something that likes to have a warm wall, such as wisteria.
