QuestionsHow to growFlowersBorder Perennial FlowersPhormium 0 Vote Up Vote Down Ann Carnachan asked 14 years ago Our potted Phormium is looking sad and brown, possibly as a result of a very hard winter. I’m sure its pot is large enough. Should I cut it right down, or prune the brown leaves (most of them are brown), or do you think it might have died? 1 Answers 0 Vote Up Vote Down Gerry Daly Staff answered 7 years ago Many phormiums have been killed but others have survived. Cut away the withered leaves and wait a few weeks. If there is then no sign of new growth, you will have to replace it.
