Is it correct to remove all leaves on tomato plants. I did this in July. What purpose does all this greenery serve. My tomatoes are all like cherry toms although they should be bigger. I’m just a novice in the greenhouse dept.

Leaves contain green chlorophyll which is a magical chemical that manages to trap sunlight turning it into glucose, the basic building brick of all living things.
If you remove the leaves, you reduce the plant’s ability to trap sunlight and to grow, as you have found. While it is okay to remove some old, low leaves to allow more light and air at tthe fruit, it is necessary to leave the leaves otherwise intact.
