I am growing a mixture of lettuce plants in rows. All are doing well except the Rocket which are being eaten by small black flies. What are these and what can I do to stop it?

Rocket is a member of the cabbage family and susceptible to turnip flea beetles, small shiny black or brown beetles that eat small holes. They can be treated with a short term organic insecticide as you will want to be able to use the leaves.
