i have a rose bed of whiskey mac roses.Is it okay to plant a climber compassion as a background in this bed?

You might get a bit of rose replant disease. It might be a good idea to make a large hole, 60cm diameter and line it with two layers of cardboard. This can give the new rose a chance to get started, free of interference by existing rose roots.
