Could you please list some colourful shrubs for a shady sheltered site

In Leixlip, you are likely to be on limy soil and some of the best shade shrubs, such as camellia and rhododendron need acidic soil. But you can use leaf mould or peat to help acidify the soil. See more at: https://club.garden.ie/admin/manage_askgerry.aspx?idquestion=1694
