The lemon plant has got either greenfly on its young shoots or scale insect on the backs of the leaves.
The latter are like small flattened pale-green scales attached to the leaf veins usually. They can be scraped off with a toothpick and wiggle a bit.
Take the lemon back outdoors on a callm day and thoroughly spray all the stems and foliage with a houseplant insecticide. Leave it for a few hours and take it indoors.Â
