Last year all leaves went brown and fell off my cameilla. I cut it back very hard but there has been no regrowth. I think it may be dead. It was in a very large pot. Is there anything that can be down to rescue it?

It sounds like a root rot disease got it, perhaps after having been dry at the root,or, paradoxically, over-wet. If there is no signof growth, it is gone. Camellias need to be carefully watered in pots, never dry, never too wet or standing in water.
