I planted approx.100 privet cuttings almost 2 years ago and they are now well established. I have prepared ground along perimeter wall of my daughters house to transplant the privet saplings hoping to form a hedge .I live some 50 miles from my daughter and want to transport the plants barerooted. Is it now too late in the year to transplant?

Being evergreens and just starting growth, there is just itme to plant proviet in April. The distance doesn’t matter as they can be kept in open-top plastic bags for the journey. Leave on some soil on the roots if possible.
Water immediately after planting and once a week until new growth is active, giving a good soak to each.
Or you could wait until October,
