I want to create a small border, but the area i have is exsposed and damp, can you sugest what plants i should use.

There are lots of flowers that like moist soil, such as astilbes, hostas, filipendula, iris and ligularia. If you go to our Plant finder and select Soil preference and Good for moist soil, you will get a range of suggestions.
