I have cleaned around the base of apple and plum trees. Is there anything else I should do at this time of year?

Fruit trees do best withut weeds over a two-metre diameter area. Apple trees can be pruned when the leaves have gone, but plums should not be pruned until summer. Make sure ties and posts are solid.
