I have ordered new plants; e.g. clematis , cotoneaster, pyracantha, acer ,but with heavy frost forecast should I postpone delivery & planting.? The soil is heavy clay.

These plants are all hardy and can be delivered ready for planting when the weather improves. They will be in pots and will suffer no harm.
