do slugs eat seeds?

Hi Gerry, just wondering if slugs eat seeds .
I sowed some seeds and put a few glass window frames over them and the next morning there were quite a few slugs and trails around.
Do you think I should start again?

Slugs do indeed eat seeds and can bore into the soil or compost to find them. It is unlikely that they found all of your seeds and if you can prevent further attacks, enough seeds might still germinate.
